Price Park

A recent project for Banyule City Council has attracted very positive feedback and the Council Project Coordinator, Jeff Parkes says:

“The Price Park playground was due for replacement having been originally installed over 20 years ago. Banyule City Council was determined to help rejuvenate community interest in the park which had declined due to the run down and out dated nature of its facilities. Therefore, in addition to replacing the existing playground equipment, it also decided to add a special feature item which would act as a strong attraction and add a ‘wow’ factor to the play space. Following a competitive process, Banyule invited adventure+ to both replace the existing playground and provide an iconic item – the 5.5m Mount Aspiring steel frame rope structure and tube slide.

“There has been very little doubt Council has achieved its aim of rejuvenating community interest, as the public has ‘voted with its feet.’ What was previously an under used play facility is now attracting many families on a regular basis, as well as local kids and is seldom devoid of users.”

The playground has turned out even better than I imagined! I’m also very grateful to the team who pulled out all the stops and got the project completed before the start of term 2.
