Quarters Estate Stage 4

The Quarters Estate Stage 4 Reserve, designed by Nicholas Rose and Soren Inglis of Urban Edge Landscape Architects, is the first of four local neighbourhood parks to be constructed within the Quarters Estate for PEET in Melbourne’s south eastern suburb of Cranbourne. The park is located opposite a future primary school site, and as a result, the overriding concept for the play space was to create a playground for multiple age groups and physical abilities that would provide a wide variety of interaction, interest and height variance within a bright and colourful linear unit.

The unit was designed with several levels, with different experiences and elements located on each of these levels. The different heights allow for a wide range of play elements to be incorporated while catering for a range of age groups and abilities. The bright yellow slide provides a colourful feature and dedicated areas of bright red rubber soft fall allows access for all abilities.

The playground unit offers tremendous value for money as it provides something for everyone – a range of activities and elements, and has proven a hit with residents and prospective buyers.

The playground has turned out even better than I imagined! I’m also very grateful to the team who pulled out all the stops and got the project completed before the start of term 2.
