Corporate social responsibility

Supporting those in need

adventure+ takes corporate social responsibility seriously and strives to contribute positively to society by supporting those in need, providing a safe and happy workplace, and being a good environmental corporate citizen.

Our work doesn’t stop at playgrounds. We support many charities supporting worthy community causes such as supporting the homeless and disadvantaged, emergency services, hospitals, churches and schools. Support includes money donations and also time for staff members to do charitable volunteer work.

Below is a list of some of the charities we have supported:

  • Royal Children’s Hospital
  • RCH Foundation
  • Peter Mac
  • Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia
  • Australian Red Cross
  • National Heart Foundation
  • RDNS
  • Diabetes Australia
  • Royal Women’s Hospital
  • Rapid Relief Team
  • Salvation Army

Over the years, we have donated playground equipment to groups that support disadvantaged children, such as Family Volunteering Fiji.

Employee benefits

All adventure+ employees benefit from agreements offering substantially above award wages and conditions, with flexible hours and time off available depending on need. We provide support to employees with special needs, and offer training and support to employees to develop their skills, including financial support, mentoring, and provision of work time for post graduate studies. To further help employees in their career development, we arrange and pay for them to attend relevant seminars and conferences.

Recently, we provided all our employees with training to become qualified in Lean Manufacturing.

Environmental contribution

In line with the adventure+ policy for all business operations to be as efficient as possible, and in accordance with the company’s key values of Excellence and Integrity, we have many business practices that ensure sustainability throughout the supply chain.

  • Solar panels at the adventure+ manufacturing facility provide a renewable source of electricity.
  • Almost all steel and timber scraps are recycled to minimise landfill.
