To adventure+, installing a playground is second nature. After all, we have been doing this for over 40 years.
To streamline installation, we use our proven techniques and processes.
We plan
So everything runs smoothly, we ensure materials, contractors and installation dates are in place.
We obtain all the necessary information regarding the location of any existing underground services from the client or from a full site scan carried out for an extra charge. We also make arrangements for the adequate protection of the work site during construction.
We prepare your site
If you need us to do this, we prepare your site by removing any existing equipment, mulch or undersurfacing. Anything reusable is saved for later use. We clear and excavate the site to the correct depth as required, depending on the proposed edging style and whether it is to be flush with the surrounding surfaces or sitting up as a step up.
We install your playground equipment
Once the site is ready, we can install the play equipment. Rest assured that the teams working on your project are trained and will install your equipment to Australian Standards.
One area with which we take particular care is the need for unobstructed impact areas around the equipment in accordance with the Standard. We carry out quality control checks to ensure we deliver high-quality workmanship.
We install drainage
Some individual sites may require agricultural drainage to be installed, in particular sites where the edging, especially concrete kerb, is to be flush with the surrounding surfaces. Typically, drainage pipes will be run along the lowest side of the play area, with extra lines through the centre as appropriate to the size of the area, which will then terminate in a sump outside the play area.
We install edging of your choice
If your play space doesn’t have edging already, you will need to consider what type of edging you want or need. Whatever you choose – ACQ treated pine, concrete kerb, rubber log or some other material – our team will make sure that they maintain the unobstructed impact areas required for Australian Standards.
We install your choice of undersurfacing
Whatever undersurfacing material you choose, we make sure that we install it with the depth required to meet the fall attenuation requirements of the relevant Australian Standard.
We clean up your playground site
Once our teams have finished, they remove any rubbish or leftover materials. Then they clean down all the playground equipment and make sure that the surrounding environment is pristine. For some sites, this means returfing and/or rectification of the surfaces around the outside of new edging.
Your playground is complete
This is the stage called Practical Completion, and it’s when we carry out final quality control checks. Once we’re both satisfied with the quality of the works, we issue a Practical Completion Certificate and supply you with a Playground Owner’s Manual. Your brand-new play space is ready for use!
adventure+ can supply playground equipment in kit form or our experienced installers can install your playground for you – the choice is yours! As long as you have a straightforward site and you are fully aware of all your compliance obligations, you can install one of our kit play units.
Before we dispatch your kit, we make sure it’s ready for use, includes everything you need to put it all together, and contains detailed, easy-to-follow instructions.
Follow the instructions carefully and you can install a playground equipment from kit that is the same quality as one that we install ourselves, and that complies with Australian Standards.
