Playgrounds for City of Whittlesea

The City of Whittlesea is located in Melbourne’s north and is one of the largest municipalities in metropolitan Melbourne. Covering an area of approximately 489 square kilometres, the Council has many parks, reserves and playgrounds.

It is evident that the City of Whittlesea believe in the value of great recreational spaces and puts a lot into creating engaging play spaces for their communities. adventure+ has been pleased to work with them on numerous projects over the past decade, all of them unique and well designed.

A selection of recently completed projects for City of Whittlesea are below.

Thomas Reserve

This well landscaped play space located at the end of a residential court includes everything needed for a local park, including a large combination unit, modular rope structure and rocker. Surrounded by grass play areas and range of outdoor furniture, this is perfect location for the local family on Sunday afternoon.

Botanica Park

Botanica Park located in Bundoora has undergone works to improve the parkland and its facilities, including a new sheltered picnic and playground area. adventure+ was engaged to create a symmetry+ timber playground, along with a community swing, Gyro swing and a boat rocker. With extensive landscape works, this refreshed neighbourhood park is a popular destination for the Bundoora community.

Oakbank Boulevard Park

With a striking colour scheme and unique combination of materials, this playground at Oakbank Boulevard Park is difficult to miss! The unique design uses a large number of rope components, including a timber modular rope structure to provide a play experience that is challenging and different from other surrounding parks.
