Overview
The recently upgraded Box Hill Gardens Play Space is one of the largest and exciting playgrounds for residents in Melbourne. Located in Box Hill Gardens in Box Hill, this park redevelopment needed a playground that was large enough to cater for the high population of the area, as well as being modern and attractive aesthetically.
Box Hill, Victoria
Client: Playce / Whitehorse City Council
Large play space featuring a play tower, custom wire rope equipment and more!
The play space includes a range of other equipment, including spinners, rockers, a Parkour unit, flying fox and swings, which are all easily accessible by rubber undersurfacing paths.
Most of the equipment for this project has been designed and manufactured in Australia, allowing design flexibility as well as the assurance of second-to-none quality.
At the centre of space is a labyrinth of climbing ropes that provide an excellent challenge of all ages. While some children love the climbing challenge, other use these nets as a place to relax or socialise with friends.
This space not only provides a play area for children, but also caters for older children and parents to exercise or workout. The unit was carefully designed to fit in with the style and colour themed used throughout the space.
The project has been a huge success for all involved, including the landscape architect Playce, Whitehorse City Council and of course, the residents!
This project includes a spectrum+ hybrid special design play unit that combines the beauty of timber with the strength of steel.
