Overview

Two colourful new playgrounds

The Christian Aboriginal Parent-Directed Primary School located in the Kurrawang Community, WA worked closely with our design team to create not just one, but two new playgrounds for students. The first custom unit has a focus on bright colours and includes a huge variety of high play value components. The second playground is a ninja course style unit with a course of obstacles, a stopwatch timer and a play unit in the middle.

Custom ninja course and custom standard unit playgrounds

Area 1 – Designed for maximum engagement

When designing playgrounds, we always prioritise the age group of the children who will be using it. This ensures that the play equipment and activities are tailored to provide maximum engagement and fun for all users. In this particular project, we carefully selected a wide range of play options to cater to different age groups.

From imaginative play items to active activities and balancing elements, this new playground offers something for everyone to enjoy. By incorporating diverse play opportunities, we aim to encourage creativity, physical activity, and social interaction among the students.

Area 2 – Encouraging active play

The ninja course was carefully selected by the school to provide an exciting and adventurous way for children to stay active and engaged. This dynamic obstacle course features a variety of challenging elements, including a towering warped wall, a thrilling frame climber, challenging stepping pads, a large horizontal net, and much more.

These exhilarating activities not only promote physical fitness, but also foster a sense of accomplishment and confidence in the young participants. The ninja course is sure to be a highlight of the new playground, encouraging children to push their limits, overcome obstacles, and have a blast while doing so.
