Engaging play area with two play units that features unique combination of materials and picture perf panels.
It is crucial to cater to all age groups when designing a community play area. Toddlers require equipment that is safe, easily accessible, and stimulates their imagination, while older children need exciting and challenging equipment to keep them engaged. To ensure the safety and engagement of both age groups, the designers of the Orwil Reserve playground upgrade created separate playground areas for juniors and seniors. This not only allows for a pleasant experience for parents visiting the site but also ensures that all children are adequately occupied and safe.
The junior playground area boasts an eye-catching design with vibrant colours and a shade sail above. The design team considered the needs of younger children and included lower platforms and activities that are easily accessible to them. This junior play unit is a remarkable example of a playground specifically designed for younger children.
The senior play tower is an impressive structure that was built using the steel-based spectrum+ system, creating an imposing height that is sure to excite older children. The designers included perforated metal panels on the tower, featuring intricate designs of Australian native flora, which adds a unique touch to the structure.
Additionally, the use of timber in the tower’s construction adds a natural element to the playground. The use of yellow and red accents provides a fresh and contemporary feel to the play area. One of the main attractions of the senior play tower is the large mound slide, which offers an exciting and thrilling experience for children who are up for a challenge.
The play opportunities provided in this playground are enormous. In children’s imaginations, the play units can be seen as fortresses for the brave, with bridges, climbing elements and slides for making great escape routes from the enemy!
A playground is somewhere children can let their imagination roam free or enjoy the sunshine while having a good time with friends. That is precisely what adventure+ has created in this playground.
