St Andrew's Catholic Primary School was seeking a playground that was both fun and suitably challenging for their students. Their brief to adventure+ specified key features including a climbing cube, varied climbing elements, and a wave slide. Our play consultant collaborated closely with the school throughout the process to ensure every requirement was met.

These exhilarating activities not only support physical fitness but also build a strong sense of achievement and confidence in students. The ninja course warped wall is a standout feature of the new playground, inspiring children to test their limits, tackle challenges, and enjoy every moment of active play.

Climbing sits at the heart of the playground design at St Andrew’s Catholic Primary School. To reach the wave slide and other play elements, students weave their way through an intricate network of rope climbs. While this is a highly enjoyable activity, it also delivers strong physical and cognitive benefits. Climbing builds upper body strength, coordination and problem-solving skills, and encourages younger students, such as preps and grade ones, to take manageable risks and have a go at something more challenging.

The play space is finished with a high-quality rubber undersurfacing. This not only provides a softer landing for students, enhancing impact protection, but also keeps the area clean and visually well presented. Rubber undersurfacing is an excellent choice for school playgrounds because it is durable, slip-resistant, and low maintenance.
As a result, maintenance teams can focus less on upkeep and more on overall safety oversight, while students enjoy a safe, inviting space to play. Both staff and students are delighted with the final result.
