Overview
Waverly Park is a recently upgraded reserve located adjacent to Waverley Oval in the City of Stonnington. Working with the Council’s landscape architects, adventure+ helped redevelop this Council playground from being tired and uninteresting to an engaging community hub by designing and installing some of the playground equipment.

Uncoated timber play unit with timber batten skillion roof.
In line with the natural look and feel of the park, a subtle, natural colour scheme was selected. The use of uncoated timber cladding with black and muted green steel construction produces a simple yet effective look. While only a small play unit, the designers at adventure+ ensured that a lot of play opportunity was included in the design.
adventure+ works with many councils around Australia to create public play spaces similar to this one. One of the outstanding features of adventure+ is the the flexibility and responsiveness of design capability that ensures the finished result looks great, and maximises play and learning opportunities for the users, while keeping in mind the budget and processes set out by the council.
This project includes a spectrum+ hybrid special design play unit that combines the beauty of timber with the strength of steel.
