Playgrounds at high schools and colleges are relatively scarce, but they are gaining popularity as educators recognise that younger students in secondary schools can significantly benefit from the advantages of play. Naturally, not just any playground is suitable for these age groups. At adventure+, we acknowledge this and are dedicated to designing solutions that are appropriate for their age!

A school playground can serve as a hub of growth and enjoyment for children of all ages, provided they are crafted to meet the needs of the intended demographic.

While primary school children may delight in simple, colourful equipment with a variety of options, high school equipment should have a more mature or ‘grown-up’ appearance (even if just slightly), offering more space for social interaction and greater physical challenges. Naturally, it should be tailored to the height of older children.

For junior school students, the shift from primary to high school should feel particularly familiar and comfortable, underscoring the importance of a school playground.

Although typical images of senior students rarely feature playground equipment, we believe there is no reason this shouldn’t become commonplace.

We often work with schools to design and complete the entire play area. We don’t only complete the play equipment but can arrange undersurfacing, playground borders and shade. Working with one supplier saves you the hassle of talking to multiple suppliers.
