Overview
With a diminishing number of locals visiting the park due to the existing playground being old and uninteresting, Hume City Council wanted to rejuvenate user engagement with a new playground that was both modern and appropriate for all ages. Using a bright colour scheme and unique twist roofs, the play space now stands out from others in the area.

Huge play space including large play units, swings, rockers and equipment for disabled users
The playground footprint is huge, encompassing around 400m2, and includes complex and challenging play units packed with rope and steel components, rockers, stepping stones and activity panels.
An important specification in the brief was providing for users with disabilities. This was achieved by placing wheelchair friendly rubber paths throughout the playground and including play elements such as the small cubby house and interactive panels that can be used by users with limited mobility.
This project includes a spectrum+ special design play unit that utilises powdercoated steel as the main structural element.
