Overview
The Our Lady Help of Christians Primary School playground design is an excellent example of a school playground that ticks all the boxes. It was designed to fit within the school proposed site, fit their budget and meet maintenance requirements.

A neat school playground that was designed to fit the schools existing playground site, budget and maintenance requirements.
The school had an area to fill between an existing synthetic play area and fence line, and they believed a playground would be a great way to fill this empty and messy space. adventure+ developed a design that fits perfectly within the proposed area and included all the elements that the school and students wanted. The design is linear to work within the site and does not include roofs to fit under the existing shade sails.
When designing a school playground, balancing the number of components that cater to the upper body, lower body, balance, active play, and imaginative play is essential. We included elements like monkey bars for the upper body and then bridges and ladders for the lower body and balance in this playground.
The playspace was finished off with rubber undersurfacing, which is a great option to keep the space looking neat and tidy. This always ticks the box for maintenance staff.
The children and the teachers are thrilled with the outcome.
This project includes a spectrum+ special design play unit that utilises pwodercoated steel as the main structural element.
