Overview
Located in Vermont, this elevated play space provides the recreational facilities locals need to walk the dog, exercise, socialise and play. adventure+ was engaged by RDLA & City of Whitehorse to produce an all ages play space at Thatcher Reserve that utilised the site's natural slope and surrounding environment.

Large combination unit featuring a sloping double slide.
Slopes in play spaces can prove difficult to work with in playground design, but they can also present opportunities. In this playground, the designers incorporated a large rubber mound with steps. adventure+ was engaged to design a playground that sat on top of the mound with a 3 metre double bump and wave slide that goes down the mound.
The vast range of equipment within the park is what makes this playground so special. There is something for all ages and interests, with a play unit, comet spinner, mound rope climber, wheelchair carousel, swings, interactive panels, and rope structure.
The community and client alike were very pleased with the outcome, which met all the requirements.
This project includes a spectrum+ special design play unit that utilises powdercoated steel as the main structural element.
