From concept to reality

The landscape architect had envisioned a neat and contemporary play tower design with timber battens on three sides of the play tower and perforated steel openings at different locations.  And at the back, a full perforated steel finished façade to reveal the backbone/internal aspects of the play tower.

adventure+ used a simple render concept provided by the landscape architect and turned it into a practical result. The initial concept provided the foundation of the playground design, and the adventure+ team were able to reflect this idea in a way that was economical, standards compliant and required minimal design and installation time.

Providing different levels of challenge

Appearance is essential; however, getting the design functionality is equally essential to ensure children are engaged and challenged. In order to create a harmonious space, our design team strategically placed the more challenging elements, such as the rock climbing wall and the towering tunnel slide on the tower unit designed for older children. Whereas the junior unit boasts more low-level and less challenging elements that are specifically tailored to cater to the needs of younger visitors.

A play tower that stands out

The structured play element is a huge play tower, standing at around 6 metres tall and incorporating two slides coming from its highest and second-highest platforms. Installed on a mound allowed the large slide to be even longer!

This contemporary new play tower has several different play elements incorporated into the design. The main structure is the large tower unit featuring curved corners and two large tunnel slides.

The natural stained timber and perforated steel panels suit the natural environment, whilst a vibrant and attractive atmosphere is created by the brightly coloured slides.
