The new playground at Gilgai Plains Primary School is no ordinary playground. adventure+ worked closely with the school to design a playground that was unique, fun and play opportunities to encourage outdoor activity. This themed playground is perfect for inspiring imaginative play for young students.

Getting the best of both

For this playground, the main requirement for the school was to create a unique playground that differed from other schools in the area to engage students. Unable to decide between a pirate ship or castle-themed playground the school opted to go with a hybrid of both. The team at adventure+ worked closely with the school to bring this vision of a boat-castle-themed playground to life.

Fun for all ages

The play equipment was carefully designed to cater to prep to grade two students. While the castle towers and more challenging nets are loved by the slightly older students the less challenging elements such as the shop counter and activity panels are perfect for more junior students.

Prioritising engagement and fun

For every playground we design we carefully assess the playground users, their ages and design a solution to suit. This project was no exception. With a huge range of different play activities, from imaginative play items to active activities and elements that promote balancing catering for all kinds of play.
