Tree-house themed tower school playground
For this new junior playground, the main requirement for the school was to create a unique playground that differed from other schools in the area and engaged the children. adventure+ worked closely with the school to bring their vision of a tree-house themed playground to life.
Utilising timber elements throughout the play space and the use of leaf and branch-themed panels help to bring the tree house theme together.
The play unit is packed with fun and challenging activities to keep students fully engaged. One of the most outstanding features of the playground is its huge tower. Standing at around 5 metres tall, with a tunnel slide extending from the top, it not only looks impactful, but also provides an endless amount of fun. With a large play area available to work with, the adventure+ design team surrounded the tower with a range of challenging equipment that allows it to accommodate a large number of children.
Making sure the playground was accessible for students with disabilities was one of the school’s priorities for the play space design. Our design team carefully thought about access on and off the main tree house tower. The tunnel slide down is a great escape route for imaginary adventurers and the rock wall, net bridge and stairway are options for varying abilities to make venturing into the tree house extra fun.
This project includes a spectrum+ special design play unit that utilises powdercoated steel as the main structural element.
