Mount Waverley, Vic
Client: City of Monash
Newly upgraded local park that fits in well with the surrounding environment.
The play space includes various elements, including a timber play unit, a swing with a nest basket and a mound slide. Along with picnic tables, bench seating and planting, this is a perfect space for the family to enjoy any time of year.
Working closely with the City of Monash team, adventure+ designed the playground to look attractive and fit perfectly in the overall landscape vision. The central play unit is constructed using our symmetry+ system, which utilises White Cypress as the primary material. With slatted timber guardrails and roof, as well as two-tone coating, the playground not only gives a natural feel, but has a contemporary, architectural look.
Like all playgrounds we design, we take a serious approach to ensure that the equipment design provides maximum engagement and learning opportunities for children. The play unit is a multi-age playground, with one-half of the unit suited for juniors and the other half for senior children. Play elements such as panels and easy access were incorporated for junior children, while the designers included more challenging aspects for senior children.
This project includes a symmetry+ special design play unit that utilises white cypress timber as the main structural element.
